At Solvia we believe your data belongs to you. This policy explains, in plain English, what information the app uses, why, and how it is protected. No jargon.
Almost all of your information stays locally on your device and is never sent to Solvia:
Solvia operates no server containing this data and has no access to it. It is included in your phone's backups (such as iCloud) if you have these enabled.
To enable certain features, the app communicates with technical providers. Here is who, and why.
When you add an item by taking a photo and use the automatic recognition, the image is sent to our artificial intelligence provider (Anthropic) to detect the type of clothing, its colour and characteristics. The image is used only for that analysis and is not retained by Solvia for commercial purposes. You can also enter the information manually, without using recognition.
To suggest an outfit suited to the weather and to anticipate the conditions for your trips, the app sends your geographic location (or a destination city name) to our weather provider (Open-Meteo) to retrieve the corresponding forecast. Your location is used only to retrieve weather data. You can refuse access to your location: the app will then work with manual input or climate averages.
If you subscribe to Club Solvia, payment and subscription management are handled by Apple via the App Store. Solvia does not receive or store your payment information. Subscription management (renewal, cancellation) is done in your Apple account settings.
You can change or revoke these permissions at any time in your phone's settings.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data.
Since your data is stored locally on your device, you can view, edit and permanently delete it directly in the app, and remove it for good by uninstalling Solvia.
For any question about your data, you can contact us at: younsi.ouassini@gmail.com.
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the app or to regulation. The "last updated" date appears at the top of this document. We will let you know within the app of any material changes.
